A 7.89 magnitude earthquake hits Mexico City [In Spanish]

An earthquake of 7.89 in magnitude was registered at 12:04 p.m. in Mexico City, according to the National Seismological Service (Servicio Sismológico Nacional, SSN). The SSN had originally reported that the magnitude of the earthquake had been of 6.59 on the Richter scale. Additionally, at 12:02 p.m., SSN identified the epicenter at 29 kilometers south of  Ometepec in the state of Guerrero.

On the other hand, the U.S. Geological Service measured the magnitude of the earthquake at 7.6 and registered the epicenter in Oaxaca, at 25 kilometers from Ometepec, Guerrero.
Through his Twitter account, Mayor Marcelo Ebrard informed that there were no visible signs of damage and that he would inspect the area by air.
