Latino lawmakers, DREAMers call again for immigration reform

Lawmakers with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus called again Wednesday for House Republican leaders to allow a vote on a comprehensive immigration bill that includes a path to citizenship for 11 million people living in the United States illegally and provisions for their children.

The caucus held a news conference outside the U.S. Capitol moments before another event was held by the DREAM Action Coalition seeking citizenship for undocumented youths.

Also Wednesday, students staged a rally at the Capitol to raise awareness of their plight.
