Templo Mayor: President Felipe Calderón made sure to deliver a very late invitation this morning to Elba Esther Gordillo to attend the ceremony of inauguration for the 2012-2013 school year for this morning; Though former mayor Enrique Alfaro lost the gubernatorial election for Jalisco he is still moving up in the political scene; It has been 55 days since the airport shooting and no arrests have been made though the office of the Secretary of Public Security has all the information of those involved in the shooting.

Bajo Reserva, “Encuentros Calderón-Peña Nieto”: It has been assured that President Felipe Calderón and president-elect Enrique Peña Nieto will most likely meet up to five times before Pena Nieto takes office; The tourism sector, which Gloria Guevara Manzo heads along with the Tourism Board, has announced that Mexico once again has become the number one destination for North American travelers.


Jorge Fernández Menéndez, “El atentado:” May 2008 military intelligence warned President Calderón that the Zetas were going to attempt to assassinate him on a trip to Tamaulipas, security forces were able to abort the menace and the President never told the story until his 50th birthday party last weekend, and Fernández Menéndez says that he is telling this story now so as to warn the next President… Various functionaries in the Calderón government have been assassinated, or have suffered assassination attempts, over the past six years, and these, Fernández Menéndez says, should remind politicians who lack the political will to fight organized crime that it is necessary because of the damage which organized crime can create.


Trascendió:  Norberto Rivera Carrera was very annoyed by the protests which the bishop of Saltillo, Raúl Vera, organized against the ex-governor Humberto Moreira during his daughter’s baptism…The “farewell gifts” which Demetrio Sodi de la Tijera left citizens living in his district, Miguel Hidalgo en la Ciudad de México, include a permit for “El Woman’s Secrets Boutique VIP Dharma Massage” a massage parlor, which members of the district are now taking to the Legislative Assembly.
