Things are boiling up in Mexico’s Department of Interior headed by Miguel Angel Osorio Chong. The PRD faces a critical period as many of its legislators follow Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador’s lead. Meanwhile the PRD president Jesus Zambrano had to withstand critiques from members that do not agree with Pacto por Mexico’s indorsement. On another note, despite the statistics released by Miguel Angel Manceras’s government which demonstrate a reduction in crime rate, Mexico City has been facing a new wave of violence where citzens have been killed by criminals.

Peña Nieto’s government seemed to have the urgency to express that no one is rich in the cabinet, yet, the act was badly mounted. Mixed with gross net salary, they did not explain the differences and similiarties in the secretaries’ earnings that these may vary by bond risk premiums for seniority. Also, they did not give any details about the luxurious properties and vehicles that powerful members such as Osorio Chong, Chuayffet, and Ruiz Massieu own. It seems that the new administration forgot the base of its triumph, which was based on its image rather than its substance.
