This rise streamlines business openings, electricity contracts and building permits.
Mexico improved its position in the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business index. In the 2013 edition of this index, the country jumped five places from the previous year, from position 53 to 48 of a total of 185 countries evaluated by the agency.
This is the fourth consecutive year that Mexico has improved in the overall index, and in 48th place it above the countries of the BRIC bloc, which includes a China that is in place 91, Russia at 112, Brazil at 130 and India at 132.
