Crossborder Awards to Honor Binational Success Stories

The U.S.-Mexico border will be seen at its best at the second annual Awards for U.S.-Mexico Cross-Border Cooperation and Innovation, which will be formally presented on Monday, September 24, at 7 p.m. at the official dinner of the binational trade conference, “Realizing the Economic Strength of Our 21st Century Border” at the Fiesta Resort Conference Center in Tempe, Arizona.

The awards program  -  now in its second year  -  honors “success stories” in local and state collaboration between the United States and Mexico. The program is organized by the Border Research Partnership,comprising the North American Center for Transborder Studies, a research unit in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Arizona State University, Mexico’s El Colegio de la Frontera Norte (COLEF) and the Mexico Institute at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, D.C. The winners were selected by an independent bi-national selection committee.
