The President of the National Action Party (PAN) Commission on Elections, José Espina, rejected the possibility that his party would create electoral alliances for 2009.
“We do not need to worry about being a political party in the shadows of other parties. As a political party, we will continue to be independent and autonomous, and I believe the PAN has demonstrated its institutional strength throughout history,” he said.
