Many Mexicans feel increasingly unwelcome in Colorado because of anti-immigrant sentiment. Some are contemplating returning home in search of opportunities as the U.S. economy weakens, said the Mexican Consul General in Denver, Eduardo Arnal.

Mexico’s Commission on Human Rights (CNDH) released numbers today that 45 journalists in Mexico have been assassinated since 2000. The report named Tamaulipas, Chihuahua, Veracruz, Oaxaca and Michoacán as the most dangerous states for journalists and criticized the lack of investigations to identity and apprehend suspects.
